Thanksgiving 2009

We hosted Thanksgiving here at the house this year. We had our family (with the exception of Denise, who didn't make the trip from Utah), my uncle Rob, my cousin Dan and his wife Jeanine and four children, Lorae and her husband Lester and their 2 kids, and our missionaries who had just transferred in a week earlier (not pictured, I'll have to get one with them in it). My cousin Carol and her husband Steve and their 2 boys came by for dessert.

Lorae fried a turkey, made her famous made-from-scratch mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, and greens. Mom roasted a turkey and made stuffing and gravy. My cousin Dan made mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, a smoked turkey breast, and pumpkin cheesecake. I made southern cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole, rolls, pumpkin gooey butter cake, and double chocolate gooey butter cake.

We had leftovers for a week. My mom threatened us if we ate anything else or brought any other food into the house! But we all had fun and gave thanks for another year!
